Leaning Fret
Force isn't always the answer

Every so often, a fret just won't go in straight:

I can hold it upright as I tap it down, and I'll have a pretty good chance of getting the fret to go in properly:
Nothing like a pair of regular diagonal cutters to hold a fret by its tang.

I can bend a little handle on a piece of fret wire, so I can keep it from rotating:
But, I usually do something else.
I figure that most of the time I have the leaning fret problem, it's because the fret just doesn't go in easily enough. SO, I bevel the tang to sharpen it and guide the fret down into the slot.
