Classical Guitar by Richard Jacob
Markneukirchen 1942

I wonder what it was like to have been a guitar maker in Germany during World War II. This fine smallish classical guitar was made in C. F. Martin's home town of Markneukirchen, Saxony, and shows some of the design elements of the first Martin guitars made more than a century earlier. The "V-joint" peghead, black neck and heel shape come to mind, along with the ivory embellishments. All in all, this is a delightful old guitar.
