The Gallery of Guitars at the Acoustic Guitar Festival Healdsburg, 1999
Here are some snapshots I took at this year's Acoustic Guitar Festival in Healdsburg. As usual, the attendance was very good, and about 130 of the country's finest luthiers displayed their latest work. Most of the makers with whom I spoke felt that this was the best show ever. Guitar players came from all over to try and to buy!

Unfortunately, the only real light in the gallery came from the windows, so there were lots of instruments and makers I couldn't photograph without disturbing them, or having them abandon a customer to move to better light. These are just the photos that came out well. . .

It's a new molded flight case developed by John Aengus of Dallas, TX

As you can see, it's plenty strong:
It can support two Johns: John Aengus on the left, and John Reuter, head instructor at Roberto-Venn, on the right
