Chipboard Cases?
What's WRONG with Chipboard Cases?
Nothing.
Except that they're flimsy.

In adult hands, a chipboard case will provide adequate protection for carrying an instrument around:
Carrying it around carefully, that is. There's essentially no padding, so a fall from a short distance can cause interior damage.

Chipboard cases can't take much hard travel, and they tear easily:
Hardshell Cases
Molded Cases
Styrofoam Cases
Flight Cases
Gig Bags
Case Covers
