The "Fluke"
It's a ukulele

Well, what can I say? It is a Fluke. Hard to imagine a made-in-USA instrument with a genuine maple neck and wood soundboard that is as cheap as this thing. It really sounds good, and it really is cheap. The body and fingerboard are both molded of plastic, and it comes in a cool travel bag.

OK, what I really mean is that it's inexpensive, and not really cheaply made. This little uke is the brainchild of Jumpin' Jim Beloff, who recently wrote the book on ukes. He's been an entertainer and uke pusher for years, and now his time has come. With the popularity of the ukulele at its highest since the 1950s, we were just hoping something like the Fluke would come along.

Did I mention that it's cheap? Only $160.00. Not bad for a starter or travel instrument.
