Rope Trick: Cutting

Next time you need to cut some nylon rope or other cord that tends to fray like crazy, try this little trick. Just soak in a load of thin cyanoacrylate where you intend to make your cut. After it cures, simply cut the rope with a diagonal wire cutter, sharp knife, or whatever. You'll get a nice clean cut, and with any luck both ends will be sealed against fraying. I typically use an extra drop of glue on the cut end just for insurance.
