"Earl Scruggs" Mastertone
The pick of Gibson's litter

Not an exact replica of the great Mastertone of the 1930s, this current Gibson model carries the endorsement of the world's most famous 5-string player. Gibson makes a host of different models, but this one embodies the best of the features most players consider "tasteful" in design. The famous "hearts and flowers" inlay, figured maple neck and resonator, ebony fingerboard, and the definitive one piece flange flathead shell construction make this the embodiment of the bluegrass banjo.

While it's arguable that other makers provide as good a sound and workmanship, only a Gibson is a Mastertone.
